Making your own plywood mailboxes
Here are steps to make your own plywood mailboxes. This is a great thing that you can enjoy for your family activities, also get its benefit of functions
1. Cut the plywood to the dimensions as you planned and sand any rough edges with the sandpaper.
2. Fix the front and base to the side panels, as shown, using 40mm nails and PVA glue.
3. Fix the two back sections to the side panels, as shown, using 40mm nails and PVA glue.
4. Apply one coat of penetrating oil stain tinted to the inside of the mailbox, brushing in the direction of the grain.
5. Carefully wipe off any excess oil stain with a clean, lint-free cloth.
6. Apply one coat of penetrating oil stain tinted to the outside of the mailbox, the top and back flap. Brush in the direction of the grain and wipe off any excess with the cloth. Leave to dry for 24 hours.
7. Repeat steps three and four, and when the inside is touch dry, fix the top into position with 40mm nails and PVA glue. Apply a second coat of penetrating oil stain tinted to the outside of the mailbox and back flap. Wipe off any excess with the cloth and leave to dry for 24 hours. This simple plywood mailbox can be made in a matter of hours.
8. Fix the back flap into position with the two hinges and stainless steel screws. There you are, your self-making plywood mail boxes.
